About Annika
Nicola Walker plays DI Annika Strandhed, a Norwegian-born detective running a new Marine Homicide Unit that investigates bodies found in and around Scotland's waterways, while raising her teenage daughter Morgan. Written by Nick Walker from his BBC Radio 4 drama, it mixes murder cases with dry humor, and Annika often addresses the viewer directly. Two six-episode series aired in the U.K. in 2021 and 2023, and both stream in the U.S. with PBS Passport and on the PBS Masterpiece channel on Prime Video.
