Miss Scarlet season 7: U.S. release date and how to watch the final season

Miss Scarlet's final season streams on PBS Passport from Nov. 29, 2026 and airs on MASTERPIECE from Jan. 17, 2027. Here's how to watch every season in the U.S.

By the TV Docket editors · How we work Published

Miss Scarlet ends with season 7, and U.S. viewers can watch it in two ways. PBS Passport members can stream the whole season from Sunday, November 29, 2026. The weekly broadcast on MASTERPIECE on PBS starts Sunday, January 17, 2027, at 8/7c and runs through the end of February.

PBS MASTERPIECE calls it “the seventh and final season.” The Miss Scarlet show page has the dates and sources, and we’ll add the episode-by-episode schedule when PBS publishes it.

Why is there a seven-week gap?

PBS has released recent Miss Scarlet seasons this way. Season 6 went up on Passport on December 7, 2025, five weeks before its January 11, 2026 broadcast premiere. The early release is a perk for members who donate to their local station. Everyone else can watch for free on broadcast TV from January 17.

You don’t have to pick one. Passport members can binge in December and still watch the Sunday broadcasts in January and February.

How to get PBS Passport

Passport isn’t a separate subscription. You get it by donating to your local PBS station, often $5 a month or $60 a year, though each station sets its own level. You then sign in to the PBS app or pbs.org with your station account. Our guide to watching PBS MASTERPIECE without cable covers Passport, the Prime Video channel and the free broadcast options in more detail.

The other option is the PBS Masterpiece channel on Prime Video, a paid add-on to Prime Video. Telly Visions reports that season 7 arrives there on November 29 as well.

Where to watch seasons 1 to 6 in the U.S.

PBS MASTERPIECE says earlier seasons stream with PBS Passport, and that the Masterpiece channel on Prime Video carries the full run. Telly Visions reports that seasons 1 to 6 are on the PBS app.

Seasons 1 to 4 aired as Miss Scarlet and the Duke. The title dropped “the Duke” from season 5, after Stuart Martin left the role of Inspector William Wellington.

What happens in the final season?

PBS’s synopsis says Eliza has found love but faces new problems at work and at home. She meets old friends again, and a powerful new crime boss arrives in town, “and it’s not who you might expect.” Alexander Blake’s promotion also leaves him reporting to a surprising new boss.

Kate Phillips returns as Eliza Scarlet and Tom Durant-Pritchard as Detective Alexander Blake. Paul Bazely, Tim Chipping, Evan McCabe, Felix Scott, Cordelia Bugeja and Ansu Kabia are also back.

More to watch before January

Sunday nights on MASTERPIECE are busy until then. Maigret and The Gold return on October 18, and our fall 2026 British mystery premieres list has every date. If you like Miss Scarlet’s period setting, Grantchester is another MASTERPIECE mystery.
