About This Is Not a Murder Mystery
In 1936 a group of young Surrealist artists, among them Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, gather at the West Dean estate in England for a private exhibition, and a murder brings Scotland Yard to the door. Stephen Tompkinson's DCI Thistlethwaite and Donna Banya's DC Mary Quant work the case while the artists turn on one another. The six-part series is an English-language Belgian production from VRT, Panenka and Deadpan Pictures, and it streams in the U.S. exclusively on Acorn TV.
Season 1: All six episodes stream on Acorn TV in the U.S. one a week on Mondays, starting October 12, 2026. Acorn's own premiere schedule lists the first three Mondays; the finale is reported for November 16.
